Western Illinois University Mourns the Death of WIU Employee Vivian "Jeannie" Coeur

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL – – Western Illinois University alumna alcohol and other drug (AOD) counseling specialist Vivian “Jeannie” Coeur passed away Oct. 26. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3 at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo, IL. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2 at the funeral home. The finishing touches are underway on Davenport’s Veterans Memorial Park for Thursday’s dedication ceremony. Davenport West High School Art teacher, David Schaeffer, painted a 40-foot mural honoring America’s veterans that will be on display in the park.
