Hair-raising tales for all ages happening throughout October at the Bettendorf Library

Bettendorf, IOWA – September 27, 2023 – Those looking for a taste of October-themed thrills
will want to stop into the Bettendorf Public Library located at 2950 Learning Campus in
Bettendorf. Three opportunities to listen to spine-tingling stories will take place in October.
These three programs are all free and do not require registration.
Hair-raising tales for all ages happening throughout October at the Bettendorf Library
Friday, October 27th at 2:00 PM – Spooky Stories for Kids: Children in 3rd grade and older are
invited to listen to spooky and sometimes hilarious stories around the faux campfire with
Librarian, Miss Christine.
Tuesday, October 31st at 2:00 PM – Community Connections: Celtic Ghost Stories: Storyteller
Brian “Fox” Ellis immerses the audience in the rich lore of his Celtic ancestors. Blending
folksongs and traditional poetry with myth and history. This event is a part of the Bettendorf
Public Library’s Global Gathering Ireland series which is funded by the Bettendorf Public
Library Foundation and supported Title Sponsor: Northwest Bank & Trust and Presenting
Sponsor: Iowa American Water Company.
