It was a beautiful Saturday morning in the Quad Cities! The perfect weather for a Youth Fishing Challenge! Moline Parks and Recreation Department held their highly anticipated Youth Fishing Challenge today, Saturday Jun 8, at the Riverside Lagoon in Riverside Park (3300 5th Avenue Moline). Moline residents ages 5-12 and their families came together for some friendly competition with their fishing poles and tackle boxes! Dress for Success Quad Cities is one of many Quad City organizations impacted by the devastation of the flooding of the Mississippi River. The organization lost a great deal of inventory, as well as their location in Downtown Davenport. To recover the lost inventory, Dress for Success Quad Cities is holding a “Staying Afloat” Community Clothing Drive. Starting on June 14 community members can drop off donations of job interview appropriate clothing at a number of participating area businesses.
