Dance the Night Away with Music on the Mississippi

Summer evenings may be nearing the end for the year, but that doesn’t mean the end of outdoor live music in the Quad Cities! Join the Moline Parks and Recreation Department for ‘Music on the Mississippi’, beginning this Monday Sep 9 at 6 p.m. and continuing every Monday throughout September. A temporary location change for this event has been made for 2019 to Riverside Park’s East Shelter (closest to the playground). Bring the whole family out for live music and dancing! QCScene Cooling Off at Water Gun Fun Run!

Is there any better way to have fun, while cooling off, on a hot Saturday morning than a Water Gun Fun Run?! No, there isn’t! QCScene joined the fun at the brand-new event from the Moline Parks and Recreation Department, Water Gun Fun Run, Saturday Jun 29 at Riverside Park (3300 5th Avenue Moline). Kids from the community, ages 2-12, participated in some water fun this morning! The Toddler Dash (ages 2-4) included an obstacle course, along with the BIG sprinkler! It was a beautiful Saturday morning in the Quad Cities! The perfect weather for a Youth Fishing Challenge! Moline Parks and Recreation Department held their highly anticipated Youth Fishing Challenge today, Saturday Jun 8, at the Riverside Lagoon in Riverside Park (3300 5th Avenue Moline). Moline residents ages 5-12 and their families came together for some friendly competition with their fishing poles and tackle boxes! Echoes from Riverside Bringing the Past to Life

A cemetery with over 160 years of history is bound to be filled with interesting stories and important life lessons.  One local cemetery has created a way to keep those stories and lessons alive to this day. Head On Out To The Ballpark To See ‘Angels’

Is there any better way to watch one of the best baseball movies of all time, than while sitting on a baseball field? Probably not! The Moline Parks and Recreation Department and Whitey’s Ice Cream have teamed up to bring ‘Angels in the Outfield’ to the big screen, outdoors! On Friday Aug 18 at Green Valley Sports Complex, field 5 will transform into an outdoor movie theater. ‘Angels in the Outfield’ will begin at 8:30 p.m. and admission is free. One of the most enjoyable springtime festivities will always be the Easter Egg Hunts! The Moline Parks and Recreation Department has teamed up with Sexton Ford to bring you not one, but TWO unique Easter Egg Hunts this year! Both hunts will be held on Saturday, April 8. Kids ages 8 and under, are invited for the 13th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Riverside Park Field (3300 5th Ave. Moline). There will be 12,000 candy-filled eggs hidden around the field for children to find.
