A new craft beer festival celebrated their inaugural debut today and successfully jumped ahead in all the competition. Frog Town Craft Beer Festival filled The Rust Belt in East Moline with craft beers, hard cider, delicious food, amazing live music and good vibes all over this Saturday Nov 30. QCScene Cooling Off at Water Gun Fun Run!

Is there any better way to have fun, while cooling off, on a hot Saturday morning than a Water Gun Fun Run?! No, there isn’t! QCScene joined the fun at the brand-new event from the Moline Parks and Recreation Department, Water Gun Fun Run, Saturday Jun 29 at Riverside Park (3300 5th Avenue Moline). Kids from the community, ages 2-12, participated in some water fun this morning! The Toddler Dash (ages 2-4) included an obstacle course, along with the BIG sprinkler! QCScene at Moline’s Youth Fishing Challenge

It was a beautiful Saturday morning in the Quad Cities! The perfect weather for a Youth Fishing Challenge! Moline Parks and Recreation Department held their highly anticipated Youth Fishing Challenge today, Saturday Jun 8, at the Riverside Lagoon in Riverside Park (3300 5th Avenue Moline). Moline residents ages 5-12 and their families came together for some friendly competition with their fishing poles and tackle boxes! KISS night at the Q-C Storm!

Over 4,000 rock and rolled all night as the Q-C Storm rewarded them with a big victory on KISS night! Fans got to celebrate with the rock hits of their favorite band and break the record for most people wearing KISS masks at an arena! They also bid on various KISS items and jerseys and to date the Storm have raised over $30,000 for the USO with their efforts in conjunction with the band. The SUSTO: Fine 2 Day Fest took over Codfish Hollow Barnstormers Friday and Saturday night, featuring music from SUSTO, The Artisanals, Crab Claw, Babe Club and Human Resources. Bix 7 Runners Looking Good!

In 1975, there were only 84 participants. Only 3 were women. The Bix 7 has come a long way since its inception. After participating in the 1974 Boston Marathon, John Hudetz (Bettendorf) and a few of his friends decided to bring a bit of the ‘running craze’ home to the Quad Cities. They created the Cornbelt Running Club. This group of friends saw a future in the sport of running and started the plans to bring a race worthy of Boston Marathon standards to the Quad Cities.
