I have boldly gone where some man may go, some day. Grandma, grab the smelling salts — I have been to the future birthplace of Captain James T. Kirk. Well, it may be the future birthplace. Summer evenings may be nearing the end for the year, but that doesn’t mean the end of outdoor live music in the Quad Cities! Join the Moline Parks and Recreation Department for ‘Music on the Mississippi’, beginning this Monday Sep 9 at 6 p.m. and continuing every Monday throughout September. Is there any better way to have fun, while cooling off, on a hot Saturday morning than a Water Gun Fun Run?! No, there isn’t! QCScene joined the fun at the brand-new event from the Moline Parks and Recreation Department, Water Gun Fun Run, Saturday Jun 29 at Riverside Park (3300 5th Avenue Moline). It was a beautiful Saturday morning in the Quad Cities! The perfect weather for a Youth Fishing Challenge! Moline Parks and Recreation Department held their highly anticipated Youth Fishing Challenge today, Saturday Jun 8, at the Riverside Lagoon in Riverside Park (3300 5th Avenue Moline). Moline residents ages 5-12 and their families came together for some friendly competition with their fishing poles and tackle boxes!
