The community is invited to a special screening of With This Light, a documentary about Sister Maria Rosa Leggol of Honduras. Over the course of 70 years, Sister Maria Rosa helped over 87,000 Honduran children escape poverty and violence through an ecosystem of social, educational and entrepreneurial projects, inspiring an international network of supporters. The AARP Tax Aide program’s trained volunteers are back in LeClaire this February and March to provide free tax assistance to anyone in the community regardless of age, income, or AARP membership. The volunteers can help with most tax returns including federal and Iowa/Illinois state taxes, though some restrictions do apply. Appointments will take place on Thursdays starting February 1 st and ending on April 4 th .
