Crafted QC is opening up again! The quirky, fun, downtown Davenport shop at 221 E. 2nd St., will open its doors tomorrow. The shop released the following email today: Two months. We’ve been closed for over two months. There have been tears, there have been times I’ve been ready to throw in the towel, there’s been fear. But there’s also been a lot of love. Davenport’s Figge Museum Unveiling Second Virtual Exhibit Saturday

On the heels of the Figge Art Museum’s first virtual exhibition comes a second virtual exhibition. Seen and Heard: The Art of Empowerment will open virtually at www.figgeartmuseum.org on Saturday.  Installed in the Figge Art Museum’s second-floor orientation gallery, Seen and Heard: The Art of Empowerment will be available for online viewing. Freight House Farmers Market Faces Test Saturday

An outdoor summer tradition in the Quad-Cities will go on as planned, as the Freight House Farmers Market will expand Saturday in its operating hours and vendors, but with public-safety restrictions. From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at 421 W. River Drive, Davenport, the market will have its first May day under the Covid-19 crisis. Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds on April 24 allowed farmers markets to open, despite a ban on large gatherings due to the coronavirus pandemic, with restrictions. It’s looking like the luck of the Irish isn’t going the way of the Quad-Cities St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The 35th annual bi-state event, originally slated for this Saturday, has been postponed due to concerns over the coronavirus, according to a press release sent out by the event’s president, Joe Dooley.
