“To Kill a Mockingbird” Opens May 16 at The Black Box

Almost a year after their home on Main Street shuttered in the unfortunate collapse of the Davenport Hotel building, The Mockingbird flies once more to present Harper Lee’s classic, “To Kill a Mockingbird.” Adapted from the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, To Kill a Mockingbird opens in a sleepy Alabama town in the midst of the Great Depression, where Scout and her brother, Jem, live with their widowed father, Atticus Finch. Reminiscent of a bygone era, the play immerses us in a simpler time as the children play outside in the summer, act out stories and muse about their mysterious... Read More

Prenzie Players Presents 'Much Ado About Nothing' Today

MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING will be the first Prenzie Players show since 2019! After having to cancel our planned showtimes earlier this year, we’re back — this time with August dates. Prenzie Veteran Jarrod DeRooi will direct this comedy from Shakespeare’s middle period — one of his wittiest, with Benedick and Beatrice starting out with total disdain for each other that blossoms (with much help) into deepest love. Everything that could possibly go wrong with this love story does, and the ways disaster is defeated are more than half the fun of this engaging work. Watch the Prenzie... Read More
