Rock Island Schools Hosting Clinics For School Physicals

All students entering kindergarten, sixth, and ninth grade in the 2023-24 school year must have a school physical to avoid the October 15th exclusion deadline. You can register your child now (see PDF attached below) to attend one of the clinics being held this spring. Registration forms are due by March 31st. Please return all completed forms to your child’s school nurse. Please provide a copy of your insurance card. The district’s F.A.C.E (Family and Community Engagement) has started a new initiative to recognize parents/guardians and a RIMSD school who are making a positive impact in our school district and community. Parent/Guardian of the Month Schools can nominate a parent/guarding who goes above and beyond to support the needs of children, our school, and/or our community. The winner receives a gift card, a bunt cake, and a sign that can display outside their residence. Ben Dixon has stood at the corner of 30th street and 31st avenue for the last 14 years making sure Eugene Field students get to school safely. He’s become a staple within the Eugene Field School community. “Every day Ben waves to all the staff and students. He knows who is at school and who isn’t. If he notices someone is absent for a long period of time, then he will stop a staff car and ask questions. He is genuinely concerned about the welfare of all of us. Fall Sports athletes were recognized by the Board of Education at their Tuesday, December 13 meeting for their achievements in their respective sports during the winter season. The Rock Island County Health Department has opened a new clinic to ensure students have easy access to health services.
