The AARP Tax Aide program’s trained volunteers are back in LeClaire this
February and March to provide free tax assistance to anyone in the community
regardless of age, income, or AARP membership. The volunteers can help with
most tax returns including federal and Iowa/Illinois state taxes, though some
restrictions do apply.
Appointments will take place on Thursdays starting February 1 st and ending on
April 4 th . Each Thursday has four time slots available: 12:30, 1:15, 2:00, and 2:45,
with three appointments available at each time slot. Most appointments will be at
LeClaire Community Library at 323 Wisconsin Street, but appointments on
February 8, 15, 22, and 29 will be held next door at LeClaire City Hall while the
library is recarpeted and painted. Appointments are expected to fill quickly.
