Quad-Cities Chamber Seeks Reversal of New Illinois Covid Restrictions

The Quad Cities Chamber is calling on Q-C and State of Illinois elected officials to support allowing bars and restaurants to serve customers indoors in a safe and responsible manner. The State of Illinois has placed additional restrictions on businesses starting Wednesday because of increased Covid-19 positivity rates across the state and region. While most businesses can continue to operate without further adjustments, bars and restaurants are being targeted with additional restrictions despite adapting their practices based on Covid-19 guidelines, according to quadcitieschamber.com. “As colder... Read More

Western Illinois University Food Pantry Continuing Appointment System through Nov. 18

The Western Illinois University Food Pantry will continue implementing the appointment-only system through the remainder of in-person classes on campus, through Wednesday, Nov.18. The Pantry is now located in Horrabin Hall, room 10. The appointment form, located here will be re-used every week to fill out an appointment time. There will not be a weekly form. An appointment must be made to visit the WIU Food Pantry. Patrons are asked to fill this form out in advance of Thursdays or Saturdays. With the closure of indoor dining throughout the state, by Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, Circa ’21 Dinner Playhouse has made the difficult decision to close its doors for the holiday season.
