Bix Jazz Fest Goes Virtual

The Bix Jazz Society is excited to announce they are hosting a VIRTUAL JAZZ FEST on Friday Jul 31 and Saturday Aug 1. This virtual concert is free to anyone who wishes to experience 1920’s-30’s Jazz. Covid-19 may be separating us, through Bix, Jazz and Technology we will unite! The 49th annual Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Jazz Festival will feature six fantastic bands from Denver to Chicago. Each band will premiere new sets of traditional 1920’s & 30’s era Jazz music on Friday, July 31 from 6pm – 9pm and Saturday, August 1 from 6pm – 9pm. Figge’s Big Picture in the House Goes Virtual

The Figge’s Big Picture program returned this summer, in a different format. For the past 3 weeks, virtual free programming has been streaming live from the museum on Wednesday mornings from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. via Zoom. The program will continue through Aug 5. 2020 Quad-City Times Virtual Bix 7 Hits The Virtual Pavement This Weekend

The 46th Annual Quad-City Times Bix 7 has been changed to a virtual only event this year. Since 1975, the Quad-City Times Bix 7 has been a Midwest summer tradition, bringing thousands of runners from across the globe to Run With the Best. Even though we can’t run together this Saturday July 25, the tradition has been kept alive by virtual running in the historical Quad-City Times Virtual Bix 7, Prairie Farms Quick Bix or Arconic Jr. Bix.
