East Moline Spartans Win Muscatine Tournament, Chasing Top Ten Ranking

The 08 East Moline Silvis Soccer Club Spartans were already ranked in the top 15 in the state going into the Muscatine Soccer Club tournament June 9, and after a thoroughly dominating performance, it’s justifiable to see them chasing a top ten ranking soon. The Spartans completely demolished their opponents, outscoring AYSO, Quad Cities Rush and the home team of Muscatine Soccer Club by a combined goal total of 18-1. Mississippi Valley Blues Festival Moves Into Murphy Park

The highly anticipated Mississippi Valley Blues Festival returns this year, but in a new location! Due to the record-breaking flood of 2019, Mississippi Valley Blues Society announced the relocation of the 34th Mississippi Valley Blues Festival to Murphy Park at The Bend in East Moline (900 Bend Boulevard East Moline). This year’s Blues Festival will take place on Friday Jul 5 and Saturday Jul 6. Gates open at 4 p.m. on Friday and at 12 p.m. on Saturday.
