Bettendorf Public Library’s Craft-Tea event gives makers time to craft and mingle

Crafters and makers of all types are invited for conversation, tea, and craft time at the Bettendorf Public Library’s Craft-Tea event. Held at the Library located at 2950 Learning Campus Dr. in Bettendorf, Craft-Tea will take place on Tuesday, September 28th from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM. Crafters aged 16 and up are welcome to bring their own projects for this dedicated work time while enjoying a beverage and the opportunity to socialize with other crafters. Cambridge Summer Community Theater Program Starts Tuesday with “Tom ‘n’ Huck”

On Tuesday, Aug. 3rd, Cambridge’s College Square Park will be the site of a summer theater performance of Craig Sodaro’s “Tom ‘n’ Huck,” starting at 7:30 p.m. The play is the first performance of a summer community theater program, thanks to the support of the summer AIM Program through the Henry Stark Bureau Regional Office of Education. The AIM Program has been a part of Cambridge Schools for over five years, but this is the first public play. Admission is free to the public. Those looking to add a personal touch to their holiday decorations can craft along with the Bettendorf Public Library to create an origami wreath appropriate for any holiday or special occasion. Starting on Thursday, December 17, free supply kits for the Take Home Workshop: 16-point Origami Star Wreath will be available for pick-up at the Library located at 2950 Learning Campus Dr. in Bettendorf.
