Family fun and philanthropy were “in the bag” as Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 25 sponsored its third annual Veteran’s Bags Tournament in support of the Honor Flight of the Quad Cities. On Saturday, November 9, the union headquarters in Rock Island opened its doors to the community as people of all ages enjoyed the relaxed fun of the popular backyard picnic game of competing to toss beanbags into remote targets. Rock Island Public Library Hosting Books For Kids Trivia Night

The Rock Island Public Library Foundation and the Lorene Evans Watts Fund for Children’s Materials will host the “Books for Kids” Trivia Night on Friday. November 1, from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the Quad City Botanical Center, 2525 4th Avenue, Rock Island. Donation to play is $10 per person. Participants can increase their chances to win by purchasing mulligan and doubler round stickers or bidding to win answers for a round from the night’s celebrity genius. Beauty And The Beast Kicking Off Junior Theater Season

Junior Theater is ready to kick off its latest season with “Beauty and the Beast,” at its 2822 Eastern Avenue, Davenport, location. Library Events Provide Free Fun and Learning during RI/Milan School Break

Families staying in town during the two-week Rock Island/Milan school break will find fun and learning at the Rock Island Public Library. In scheduled events for all ages, the Rock Island Downtown Library, 401 19th Street, will host a Family Bingo Night where participants will play for candy.
