Genesis Expanding Vaccine Clinic To All Quad-Citians

Genesis COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic is now open to both patients and non-patients to reach more people in the region. The vaccines are working and Genesis is expanding access. Genesis is currently administering Pfizer vaccine at the vaccination clinic. The Genesis vaccination site is the former Dick’s Sporting Goods location at 5250 Elmore Ave., Davenport. First dose appointments are now available on Tuesday and Thursdays, with evening hours. New online scheduling makes it easy to get your COVID-19 vaccine to help end the pandemic. Genesis COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic is now open to everyone on a walk-in basis on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.  We will continue to add additional walk-in hours each week. The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) this week announced updated recommendations defining who should be screened for lung cancer, doubling the number of eligible Americans to approximately 15 million. The Genesis Foundation will increase financial support to provide vouchers for breast health screenings. The Jim Victor Vision Fund of the Genesis Foundation will match all new gifts and increased donations to the Genesis Women’s Health Grant Program up to $25,000 through June 30. The Genesis heart program marked a milestone January 22 when the first WATCHMAN™ implant procedures were performed in the Cath Lab at Genesis Medical Center-East Rusholme Street. The implant is a minimally invasive, one-time procedure designed to reduce the risk of strokes that originate in the hearts of patients with atrial fibrillation.
