The Rock Island Rockswrestlers took 7th out of 26 teams at the Mahomet-Seymour Tournament this week. The Campaign for Excellence is an annual campaign that involves both individual and business donors which provide financial support to a wide variety of worthwhile activities and programs throughout the entire school district. Two Rock Island High School Basketball Head Coaches received the 2022 Charles and Annie Robinson Education Image Award from the Rock Island County NAACP at the annual Freedom Fund Banquet and Image Awards on June 25, 2022. Lady Rocks Basketball Head Coach Henry Hall will be starting his 5th season as the Head Girls Basketball Coach and had previously served 8 years as assistant coach. The 2022 James O’Melia Jr. Athletic award was presented to Rock Island High School dual-sport athletes Emily Allison and Marieon Anderson on Wednesday, June 8 at a Rock Island-Milan Booster Club meeting. The James O’Melia Jr. Award is considered the highest honor that Rock Island High School bestows on student athletes. One male and one female receive the award each year. Record $137,200 in Scholarships Go To Rock Island High School Seniors Tonight

The Rock Island-Milan Education Foundation (RIMEF) will award a record $137,200 to the Class of 2022 at its Austin Academic Achievement Awards and RIMEF Scholarships Night on May 11, 6:30p.m. in the RIHS Auditorium. 58 accomplished Rock Island High School (RIHS) seniors will receive $35,000 in Austin Academic Achievement Award (AAAA) scholarships and $102,200 RIMEF Named scholarships at the annual ceremony.
