John Deere’s most popular family event, the Annual Duck Hatching, is back yet again! The 2019 Duck Hatching Event takes place on Saturday Apr 13 and Sunday Apr 14 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the John Deere Pavilion (1400 River Drive Moline). This event features a hatching observation and education program with informational sessions conducted at the top of every hour. The Black Box Theatre in downtown Moline will present the musical “The Last Five Years,” opening March 28.  The Drama Desk winner is an intimate musical about two twentysomething New Yorkers who fall in and out of love over the course of five years, with the woman (Cathy) telling her story backwards, while the man (Jamie) tells his story chronologically. Quad City Arts presents the 42nd Annual High School Art Invitational at Quad City Arts Gallery in Rock Island, from March 30-May 2. The exhibition is open to the public, and includes a reception and award ceremony on Thursday, April 4th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. This exhibition features exemplary works of art selected by each high school art teacher in the region.
