Quad City Arts Seeking Entries For Public Sculpture

Quad City Arts announces the open Call for Entries for public sculpture to be considered for exhibition in the Quad Cities on a one-year lease. Currently, the cities of Bettendorf, Rock Island and Moline participate in the program with their own selection committees who choose from the available sculptures for pieces that provide points of interest, inspire discussion, and attract visitors to the community. Living Proof Starts New Creative Sessions, Hires Program Manager

Living Proof Exhibit – which provides hope, support, and healing through the arts to Quad Citizens touched by cancer – is growing with new programs and a new program manager. Each month, LPE offers free Creative Sessions where participants use various art forms to heal and find hope. Davenport’s Putnam And Figge Museums Partner on New Exhibits Opening Saturday

Let’s face it — Saturday, Feb. 20 will be a big day for museum lovers in the Quad-Cities, as two long-time Davenport institutions open new exhibits. A new original exhibit at the Putnam (1717 W. 12th St.), “Faces of the Past,”  explores portraiture around the world and across time as a reflection of self-identity, popular culture, mythology, and ritual. Quad-Cities Pride Week Postponed, Figge Opens Pride Photos Exhibit

DAVENPORT – The Figge Art Museum will celebrate Quad-Cities Pride starting Saturday with its first dual virtual/gallery exhibition. Works by Cedar Rapids-based photojournalist Andy Abeyta will be in the Figge’s second-floor Lewis Gallery once the museum reopens, but will also be available Saturday, May 2, for online viewing at figgeartmuseum.org. Rock Island Art Guild Exhibit Hits Figge This Weekend

The Rock Island Art Guild, a volunteer-run organization founded in 1955, promotes and fosters the appreciation of the visual arts in the Quad Cities. Beginning Saturday, the Guild’s 41st juried exhibition will be installed in the Figge Art Museum’s fourth-floor gallery. QC Arts Presents High School Art Exhibit

Quad City Arts presents the 42nd Annual High School Art Invitational at Quad City Arts Gallery in Rock Island, from March 30-May 2. The exhibition is open to the public, and includes a reception and award ceremony on Thursday, April 4th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. This exhibition features exemplary works of art selected by each high school art teacher in the region.
