Olivia Heller has been awarded the 2023 Dr. Thomas Anthony Dooley Memorial Scholarship. Olivia is the first Davenport North student to win the award in its 58-year history. Olivia was presented the award at a surprise ceremony at 12:30 p.m. today at Davenport North. Davenport North hosted the 88th Annual Jesse Day Relays, April 13, 2023, at Brady St. Stadium! This relay event is named after Jesse Day, who was a Geometry and track coach for the Davenport Community School District. Virginia Wayne, daughter of Jesse Day, was recognized at the relay event because she was celebrating her 95th birthday. LeClaire Library receives large donation from local artist

The Friends of the LeClaire Community Library have received a large donation of art prints from local artist Raphael Iaccarino and held a reception today to allow library patrons to meet and thank the artist.  Iaccarino is an internationally recognized artist whose paintings are exhibited in public and private collections worldwide. Eight of the donated prints, some quite large, are vivid watercolors which were inspired by the magnificence of the tropical rain forest and jungles.  Six prints are architectural landscapes or interior roomscapes.
