New Public Sculpture Adds Life, Color to Bettendorf, Rock Island and Moline

The cultural life of the Quad-Cities is lifted in part by public art that is on permanent and temporary display throughout Davenport, Bettendorf, and Rock Island, thanks to Quad City Arts’ public sculpture program. In June, six public sculptures in Bettendorf and four in Rock Island were replaced with new ones, featuring colorful, creative and whimsical work from artists throughout the Midwest. Calling all Space Monsters! Please report to the City of Bettendorf’s Halloween Parade! The 2019 Halloween Parade, hosted by the City of Bettendorf, takes place this Saturday Oct 26 at 7 p.m. This year’s theme is: SPACE MONSTERS! The parade will begin at the intersection of 23rd Street and Middle Road, then continue onto Spruce Hills Drive. The procession will travel to 18th Street, turning left onto 18th Street, continuing to Middle Road, turning left on Middle Road, and finishing at the entrance of the Life Fitness / Splash Landing parking lot.
