Anyone can be an artist, and while the fourth-annual Chalk Art Fest won’t be able to gather in person this year, Quad City Arts is committed to bringing this colorful street art event to the community. So it will take place virtually from Aug. 15 to 28 and anyone and everyone is invited to participate. Partners of Scott County Watersheds will be hosting its Summer Snapshot volunteer water quality monitoring event on Saturday, July 18 from 8:00am to 12:00pm at the Davenport Public Works building (1200 E 46th St., Davenport, IA). Event organizers from Downtown Davenport Partnership (DDP) on Wednesday announced the cancellation of Alternating Currents, originally scheduled for August 27-30, as a regional event across five Quad-Cities downtown areas. The highly anticipated “Clash of Legends” is officially upon us! Quad Cities’ fighting legends, Michael Nunn and Pat Miletich, were originally scheduled to fight on Apr 18 at the TaxSlayer Center. However, due to Covid-related issues, the battle was rescheduled to this Saturday Jul 18 at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds (2815 W Locust St. Davenport).
