Quad City Arts Getting Ready for Reimagined Festival of Trees

At Quad City Arts in Rock Island, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, as the 35th anniversary of Festival of Trees will look different this year, but the holiday magic will continue in a whole new way. Moline Wraps Up Movies in the Park in 2020 with The Lion King

Join Moline Parks and Recreation for the second and final Movie in the Park of 2020, this Friday Aug 21! Grab your lawn chairs and blankets for a fun family night out. The Lion King (2019) will be showing on the BIG SCREEN at Greenvalley Sports Complex (5920 52nd Ave Moline). This event is free and open to the public. Restrooms will be available. Floatzilla 2020

Take part in the largest paddle on the Mississippi! Floatzilla 2020 will happen this Saturday Aug 15. Experience the Mississippi River free of commercial barge traffic. All paddle crafts are welcome to participate, but only kayaks and canoes are allowed in Lock 15. This year due to the COVID-19 pandemic some aspects of Floatzilla have been altered. The most popular launch sites at Leach Park, Bass Street YMCA, and the Lindsay Park Yacht Club will have registrations limited to 400 paddlers, their launch windows are being expanded to four hours, and they will be assigning half hour launch windows... Read More
