Gilda’s Club is offering a number of events this week for cancer survivors, those dealing with cancer, and their friends and families. Support groups have temporarily transitioned to a virtual space using Zoom, a secure videoconferencing software. Western Illinois University (WIU) Libraries will hold a virtual presentation of Robert Lopresti’s award-winning book, “When Women Didn’t Count” in March, in recognition of Women’s History Month. Robert Lopresti, a retired government information librarian from Western Washington University, (WWU) will discuss his award-winning book, “When Women Didn’t Count”(Praeger, 2017). The Mississippi Valley Fair will go on, albeit in a stripped back fashion minus all of their big-name Grandstand Acts, Aug. 4-9 at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, 2815 W.
