East Moline Spartans Win Armed Forces Cup, Move Up to 15 In State

After a thrilling 7-6 championship win on penalty kicks in the Armed Forces Cup, the U11 East Moline Silvis Soccer Club Spartans are definitely looking like a team to be reckoned with. The Spartans rose to being ranked 15 in the state in the latest GotSoccer ratings after the tournament gold, knocking out Peoria FC and the Q-C Rush in the prelims before taking on and taking out the Q-C Strikers in an electrifying final game. EMSSC Spartans Ranked #15 In Illinois!

The East Moline Silvis Soccer Club Spartans U11 team has moved up to #15 in the state and #70 in the Midwest! The Spartans are the top-ranked team in the Quad-Cities region, and have moved up from #22 last month after a second-place finish in the Legacy Challenge in O’Fallon, near St. Louis, and a first place finish in the Armed Forces Tournament in Moline, after a thrilling penalty kick shootout 7-6 win over the Q-C Strikers.
