Please mark your calendars for Friday, September 10th, again from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for the next family-friendly Open Mic Coffeehouse. Again, if you bring snacks, please individually wrap them. There will be a fire and skewers available for those who would like to bring something to roast. Also, bring seating if you like, (though some is available), bug repellent, and your sing-a-long voice. The Parish House will be open for restroom use only. BREAKING NEWS: Mike Halpin, who has served as Illinois State Representative for the 72nd District including the Quad-Cities since 2017, announced this afternoon that he’s running for State Senate. Halpin will run in the 36th district, which is currently represented by Neil Anderson. However, Anderson, who lives in Andalusia, was drawn out of that district in the latest redistricting maps and is ineligible for reelection.
