Please mark your calendars for Friday, September 10th, again from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for the next family-friendly Open Mic Coffeehouse. Again, if you bring snacks, please individually wrap them. There will be a fire and skewers available for those who would like to bring something to roast. Also, bring seating if you like, (though some is available), bug repellent, and your sing-a-long voice. The Parish House will be open for restroom use only. A Unity Walk for the Quad-Cities community will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, starting at the old YMCA in downtown Davenport and going over the Centennial Bridge. Organizers posted on their social media that the walk is to raise awareness and begin a conversation about what we all can do to slow down all the violence and car thefts in the Quad-Cities. Lindberg, M.D., Center for Health and Human Performance at Augustana College not only stands at Rock Island’s intersection of 7th Avenue and 35th Street, but stands at a key intersection of academics and athletics.
