The Annual PRIDE of Rock Island Marching Band Preview Night is at 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 15! Washington and Edison Jr. High school bands with join the high school’s band for a performance then the PRIDE of Rock Island Marching Band will perform this years show “Rocky’s Toyshop.” The night will end with a fun twist – and the parents will attempt to shadow their student while performing the show. BREAKING: Illinois Schools Getting Shut Down Again? Officials Calling For Return To Remote Learning

BREAKING NEWS: As the covid-19 delta variant spikes numbers throughout the state of Illinois and schools are hit particularly hard, some officials and parents are calling to close schools and return to remote learning. More than 125 schools statewide — including several in the Quad-Cities area — have been hit with significant outbreaks of covid, according to the Illinois Department of Health. As of Friday, 128 outbreaks were active and causing significant absenteeism, according to the IDPH. The Quad City Botanical Center is allowing guests to pay what they can for admission to the gardens September 12-18. Eliminating financial barriers to entry makes the gardens accessible to all regardless of the ability to pay the general admission fee. The public is welcome to visit Sunday 11AM-5PM and 10AM-5PM Monday through Saturday. Standard general admission is $7 for adults 16 and older, $4 for youth ages 2-15 and toddlers under age two receive free admission. Members always get in free. Gildas Club Quad-Cities is offering the following support groups this week. All support groups are back in-person for September. Highlighted support groups are being offered as a hybrid model.
