Stacey Macchi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication at Western Illinois University, recently gained status as a Nationally Certified Online Profile Expert (NCOPE) through the National Resume Writers’ Association (NRWA). To earn this certification, Macchi attended a five-week live training program; completed course preparation and weekly homework assignments with passing scores; and passed a final exam. The Moline Public Library and Ascentra Credit Union are pleased to recognize Moline-Coal Valley School District’s first graders and students in mixed first grade classes who completed the 2022 Grrreat Tiger Tales Reading Challenge. BREAKING NEWS: The Quad-Cities area is at risk of going back to a mask mandate with covid numbers spiking in the area and reaching a “high” level in neighboring Knox County, which includes Galesburg, as well as neighboring Warren County. Knox and Warren, surrounding the Quad-Cities’ Rock Island County, were both seeing spiking numbers the previous few weeks, ramping up into the high range this week.
