First Annual Día de los Muertos Parade Rolls Into Moline October 22

Through Mercado on Fifth’s inaugural Día de los Muertos Parade, the organization will encourage organizations and families to honor and celebrate the lives of their loved ones and to show appreciation for the traditions that surround the holiday. Sponsored by R3 Roofing and Exteriors, the first annual Día de los Muertos Parade will be held on October 22, 2022, beginning at 3 pm.

Register to be a part of the parade or to learn more: PARADE!

They are accepting applications for the following Parade entries: Día de los Muertos Themed Floats; Specialty Units/Groups (including families); Marching Musical Units; Equestrian Units; Vehicle Clubs; Commercial/Business Entries; and Non-Profit Groups/School Clubs.

Along with your Parade entry you have the option to enter their judging competitions! Float prizes will be awarded for 1st Place $800; 2nd Place $500; and 3rd Place $300. Group Costume Competition entries are required to have more than 10 individuals to participate. Group costume prizes will be awarded for 1st Place $500; 2nd Place $300; and 3rd Place $100. NOTE: Each entry can only participate in one competition.
