The Quad Cities’ Ultimate Pickup Game is once again upon us! That’s right, it’s time for the 10th Annual Hoopin’ for the House! Hoopin’ for the House is a fundraiser brought to you by Friendly House of Davenport. It is a twelve-hour marathon basketball game for adults. This year’s event will start at 7pm Friday April 7 and go through 7am on Saturday April 8. Each game will last forty minutes, with a five-minute warmup beforehand. The Moline Parks and Recreation Department has teamed up with Sexton Ford to bring you not one, but TWO unique Easter Egg Hunts this year! Both hunts will be held on Saturday, April 8. Race Over To The Speedway To Burn Rubber This Weekend

With warmer weather comes faster cars. That’s right, race season is here! The Davenport Speedway (2815 W Locust Street Davenport) will be kicking off their 2017 season this weekend! On Friday, April 7 the season starts with the REBEL 5K event. Pits will open at 3pm. The Grandstand opens at 4:30 and Hot Laps starts at 5:30. The races will begin at 6pm. Tickets are $21 for adults, $18 for students and seniors, and children 12 and under are free. The cost for a pit pass is $35. The REBEL 5K is highlighted by IMCA Late Models racing on the quarter-mile track, with a $5,000 prize awaiting the winner.... Read More
