As a 100% Hispanic-owned business, Group O was proud to partner with the Quad Cities River Bandits this baseball season to celebrate the Hispanic and Latino communities by sponsoring “Bandidos del Río de las Ciudades Cuádruples”, Minor League Baseball’s (MiLB) “Copa de la Diversión” or “Fun Cup” series. During each “Copa Wednesday” home game, Bandits players wore a specialty “Bandidos del Río” uniform featuring Rascal wearing a sombrero and signature bandana in a serape-inspired design. Quad Cities River Bandits to Help Kick Off Genesis Flu-Free QC Effort at Sept. 6 Game

Area elementary school kids can step up to the plate and get a free flu shot at Modern Woodmen Park on Tuesday, September 6 to gain free entry to the Quad Cities River Bandits game. The event will kick off the annual Genesis Flu-Free Quad Cities campaign that has provided more than 100,000 free flu vaccinations to elementary school students across the region for the past 15 years. This year’s goal is to reach pre-COVID-19 levels of 7,000-8,000 flu shots in 80 elementary schools across the region and to continue the past two years of mild flu seasons. Iowa Field Of Dreams Hosting Game By Quad City River Bandits

Minor League Baseball has announced the August 9 game between the Quad Cities River Bandits and Cedar Rapids Kernels will take place at the now iconic MLB ballpark next to the historic Field of Dreams movie site near Dyersville, Iowa. Similar to last year’s MLB at Field of Dreams game in Dyersville where the New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox donned throwback jerseys that replicated their 1919 uniforms, the host River Bandits will become the Davenport Blue Sox (their name during the 1913-1916, 1929-1933 and 1934-1937 seasons), while the visiting Kernels will become the Cedar Rapids Bunnies... Read More

The Quad City River Bandits have definitely hit a home run with the folks at Baseball Digest magazine — they’ve been named minor league Team of the Year by the sports mag. River Bandits owner Dave Heller was given the award Tuesday night at a ceremony prior to the team’s home opener against the Cedar Rapids Kernels at Davenport’s Modern Woodmen Park.
