Seen and Heard: The Art of Empowerment will open virtually at www.figgeartmuseum.org on Saturday.  Installed in the Figge Art Museum’s second-floor orientation gallery, Seen and Heard: The Art of Empowerment will be available for online viewing. Over the last week, or several, I’ve been home, unable to do much but sit around on the couch and watch TV. In between catching up on the shows I’d TiVo’ed ages ago (“Barry” was excellent, BTW), I stopped by to sample a few minutes of daytime TV shows and soap operas. It’s pretty funny in a goofy way, catching up on the amazing, Dickensian plotlines being brought to life by over-actors on a daily basis. Scott Beck and Bryan Woods are teaming up with Sam Raimi for an untitled science-fiction project, Variety reported today. The filmmakers, who grew up in Bettendorf, worked with Raimi on the Quibi series “50 States of Fright.” Beck and Woods handled the Iowa segment.
