Memorial Day weekend is upon us, and no other town in the Quad Cities Area celebrates quite like this one. That’s right, it is time for the Colona Memorial Day Festival! The Colona Memorial Day celebration started as a small-town parade forty-nine years ago and has now exploded into a four-day festival of fun! The Quad Cities’ own Festival in the Sky featuring the United States Navy Blue Angels returns! Celebrating their 31st annual event, the Quad City Air Show returns to the Davenport Municipal Airport (9010 Harrison Street Davenport) on Saturday June 29 and Sunday Jun 30! Gates will open at 8 a.m. The Main Air Show will take place from 12 – 4 p.m. and the gates will close at 5 p.m. Adult tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the gate.
