It’s a bird… It’s a Plane… It’s Hot Air Balloons! After the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Quad Cities Balloon Festival, something magical happened. While Tether Rides, food vendors and socialization will not be available at this year’s event – the color spectacle in the sky is still on! More than ten pilots have graciously volunteered to fly their hot air balloons over the Quad Cities this weekend. Bix Museum Audio Archives To Go Online, 49th Jazz Fest Starts Friday

The Friends of the Davenport Public Library recently won a state of Iowa grant to make material about jazz legend Bix Beiderbecke much more accessible to the public. The library earned nearly $15,000 from the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs to digitize audio recordings for the Bix Beiderbecke Museum and World Archive, which opened three years ago at the lower level of River Music Experience, 2nd and Main streets, Davenport. Davenport’s Rhythm City Casino Introduces Star-Powered Comedy Series

Rhythm City Casino Resort is bringing the funny — and some big names in the laugh game — to their new Comedy Series inside the Rhythm Room. The series includes performances by Josh Arnold, Michael Winslow, Mary Mack, Tim Meadows, Ryan Niemiller and Todd McCommas. The monthly performances begin in August. Quad-Cities Organizations Partner To Fight Pandemic Impact

DAVENPORT — Several nonprofits and donors in the area are banding together to help many in the Quad-Cities hurt by the coronavirus crisis. Last month, the Regional Development Authority canceled its spring grant cycle and instead is supporting a Quad Cities Community Foundation disaster relief fund and local nonprofits that serve the most vulnerable. Experience the comedy of Bill Engvall at Rhythm City Casino (7077 Elmore Avenue Davenport) this Friday Mar 6 at 6:30 and 9 p.m. Most recently, Bill was a contestant on season 17 of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, and as a fan favorite, he made it to the finals.
