Joseph Dryoel Named Thomas K. Evans Memorial Scholarship Winner

Joseph Dryoel of Colona has been named as the 2019 recipient of the Thomas K. Evans Memorial Scholarship. Dryoel, a June graduate of United Township High School (East Moline) and co-valedictorian of his class, will receive $5,000 toward tuition at Loyola University (Chicago), where he plans to study pre-health in the fall. “Joey stands out, not only for his academic achievements but also because of the unique way he became interested in medicine — through the arts. Are you ready to Hustle down the Hennepin? Colona School PTA proudly presents the 12th Annual Hennepin Hustle 5k Run & Fun Walk this Sunday Jun 23 along with Hennepin Canal Parkway in Colona. New this year is a ¼ Mile Kids Fun Run (recommended for ages 8 and under), starting at 8 a.m. There are no registration fees, but a t-shirt can be purchased for $10 if you register today.
