Teachers and principals of all Quad-City area schools are invited to schedule an outreach visit for their students from a professional performing artist during the upcoming school year through Quad City Arts’ Visiting Artist Series. Laugh Hard Returns To Speakeasy Tonight!

Brandon Gale, David Terrell Green, Tyler Walsh, Austin Black, Kil Theodrick and James Draper were among the comedians who competed in the Laugh Hard Standup Competition at the Rock Island Speakeasy.

The Speakeasy Laugh Hard Comedy Show is back on Friday! Doors open at 7:00 and the show starts at 8:00. Tickets are only $3.00 for this show! This is a great stand up comedy show featuring many hilarious comedians from across the area! Reserve your tickets in advance to make sure you get in for the show! Illinois Governor JB Pritzker announced new covid-19 mitigations, including a return to masks in schools and mandatory vaccinations for some state employees. This comes on the heels of covid numbers spiking across the state. A new black-and-white photography exhibit is opening tonight at Quad City Arts in downtown Rock Island, with a free reception at 6:30 p.m., in conjunction with Alternating Currents. Through Oct. 8, Quad City Arts presents black & white photography by Mike Leinhauser and Judith Eastburn. BREAKING NEWS: Covid-19 numbers in Illinois are soaring again this week, pushing many regions at or near the same triggers which brought shutdowns during previous surges, according to the latest CDC numbers released today. Covid numbers have leapt tenfold since late July, led by the more infectious delta variant. Over 96 percent of all new cases are among unvaccinated individuals.
