Midwest Monster Fest 2020 is proud to welcome Tamara Glynn to their Sept 5th-6th event! Glynn made her television debut in 1987 on the short-lived NBC musical, Rags to Riches. The following year, she guest-starred as Susan Fryman on the ABC sitcom Growing Pains. Glynn first became associated with the horror genre when she guest-starred on an episode of Freddy’s Nightmares, the series based on the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. Rob Mello is an American actor best known for his role as John Tombs in the Blumhouse breakout film, Happy Death Day, which he’s reprised in Happy Death Day 2U. Chaney Morrow played Ghost in the 2019 film Haunt written and directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods (writers of A Quiet Place) and produced by Eli Roth. Illinois Stay-At-Home Order Extended To May 30

Well, you can forget about spring sports and concerts, and a whole bunch of other things you enjoy, unless you enjoy wearing masks, in which case YOU’RE IN LUCK! Illinois’ stay-at-home order has been extended to May 30, keeping a myriad of Quad-Cities businesses and activities closed through at least early June. Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker made the announcement this afternoon in an online press conference. Pritzker is also requiring residents to wear masks in public. Opera Quad Cities Reschedules Madame Butterfly To 2021

Opera Quad Cities is having to watch their butterfly fly away into next year. The local arts group announced tonight that they must reschedule performances of Puccini’s opera, Madame Butterfly to June, 2021. Performances will remain at the Bartlett Performing Arts Center in Moline. More details will follow. The Planet is returning to local airwaves — along with one of the original voices of its galaxy. Dave Levora and Darren Pitra will return to the morning radio airwaves 5:30 to 10 a.m. Thursday on 93.9 FM with a new alternative rock format replacing that station’s eclectic Jack format. For the first time since 1949, the sweet sound of music will not play in Prospect Park. Quad City Music Guild became the latest arts organization to cancel its summer 2020 season, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it announced Wednesday.
