Get Fired Up For Hockey For A Good Cause

How does a day full of hockey and helping a great cause, sound? Perfect, right? On Saturday April 1 at the iWireless Center in Moline, the Quad City Fire Hockey and Chicago Fire Hockey teams, alongside the Quad City Mallards, will be holding their 9th annual benefit game to raise funds and awareness for the QC MS Open Swinging Fore A Cure. Tickets are $15 with $5 of each ticket benefitting the MS Open. Tickets can be purchased at the Bierstube in Moline and Le Claire. Jackson Leary is certainly celebrating his ninth birthday in a unique way. The third grader is having his first solo art exhibit as the latest Taste of Q-C Art at Taste Buds, 1629 2nd Ave., Rock Island (in the District, across from Bennigans). Jackson is the son of QuadCities.com digital media director Sean Leary and the co-host of Eventures with Sean and Jackson, a podcast on QuadCities.com. He’s had his art exhibited at Rozz Tox and local school art exhibits but this is his first solo show.
