Fundraiser For Becky Wren Happening Today At Rock Island's Bent River Brewing

A fundraiser and 40th birthday party for Becky Wren will be held at 3 p.m. today at Bent River Brewing Company, 2117 4th Ave, Rock Island. According to the event’s Facebook post, “Our daughter, Becky, was diagnosed with Leukemia September 2022. After over a month of multiple amounts of chemo, it was determined she needed bone marrow transplant. Both her brothers tested, Zach was 50% and Josh was 100% match! On February 21, 2023, Josh donated stem cells to his sister. She and her care giver will need to stay in isolation in a hotel near the hospital for 100 days! We would love for EVERYONE... Read More

Gumbo Ya Ya,  Mardi Gras in The District, returns to downtown Rock Island Saturday, June 10, bringing the atmosphere of New Orleans to the Quad-Cities for its 25th consecutive year. A variety of New Orleans style music will be performed over the weekend including zydeco, blues, and more.
