MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING will be the first Prenzie Players show since 2019! After having to cancel our planned showtimes earlier this year, we’re back — this time with August dates. Prenzie Veteran Jarrod DeRooi will direct this comedy from Shakespeare’s middle period — one of his wittiest, with Benedick and Beatrice starting out with total disdain for each other that blossoms (with much help) into deepest love. Prenzie Players are presenting The Two Noble Kinsmen by William Shakespeare and John Fletcher beginning March 27 at QCTW, 1730 Wilkes Ave, Davenport. This little-known collaboration between William Shakespeare and John Fletcher is based on Chaucer’s “Knight’s Tale.” Devoted cousins, Palamon and Arcite, knights at arms, are captured in battle and imprisoned. From their prison window, both men lay eyes on Emilia, a beautiful Amazon, and immediately declare their love for her.
