MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING will be the first Prenzie Players show since 2019! After having to cancel our planned showtimes earlier this year, we’re back — this time with August dates. Prenzie Veteran Jarrod DeRooi will direct this comedy from Shakespeare’s middle period — one of his wittiest, with Benedick and Beatrice starting out with total disdain for each other that blossoms (with much help) into deepest love. The Genesius Guild’s 2021 season continues with a joint Don Wooten and William Shakespeare production, Shakespeare’s Life in His Works, with performances at 7 p.m. on July 3, 4, 10, and 11. All performances are held at the Don Wooten Stage in Lincoln Park, Rock Island, and admission is free.
