Spring has officially sprung, and it’s hard not to notice the beautiful flowers blooming all over. But how about being able to see all that beauty in one place? Vander Veer Botanical Park in Davenport started their Spring Floral Show in February and will continue until June 1. It features many spring flowers, such as hyacinths, tulips, azaleas, daffodils, fuchsia, orchids, cyclamen and begonias. The Conservatory at Vander Veer is located at 215 W Central Park in Davenport. After 36 years, Davenport Junior Theatre’s Mary Fluhrer-Nighswander Theatre is on course for key renovations this September. Over the last six weeks, the non-profit Junior Theatre Inc has been attempting to raise $40,000 by the end of April 30.
