Genesis Expands Covid Vaccination Availability For Quad-Cities

Genesis COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic now open to both patients and non-patients, to reach more people in the region. The vaccines are working and Genesis is expanding access. Genesis is currently administering Pfizer vaccine at the vaccination clinic. The Genesis vaccination site is the former Dick’s Sporting Goods location at 5250 Elmore Ave., Davenport. First dose appointments are now available on Tuesday and Thursdays, with evening hours. New online scheduling has been made easy to get your COVID-19 vaccine to help end the pandemic. 8-Year-Old Davenport Boy Has Colorful Art Exhibit at Botanical Center

If you visit the Quad City Botanical Center by the end of May – and you certainly should – you’ll see a portrait of an artist as a young man. A very young, talented man indeed. Eight-year-old Levi Folker of Davenport is the youngest artist ever to have his own exhibit in the 23-year-history of the QCBC, with 28 of his deeply colorful, imaginative paintings on the walls in the main hallway. April 4 through 10th is National Library Week, when the nation celebrates libraries, library workers, and the use and support of libraries. The 2021 theme is “Welcome to Your Library.” The Rock Island Public Library kicked off their Grow a Reader giving campaign this week to welcome young users back to the library. Grow a Reader donation “trees” are on display at the Rock Island Downtown and Southwest Libraries.
