Illinois John Deere And River Bend Food Bank Celebrate Fundraiser Total

MOLINE–On Thursday evening, The John Deere Foundation and River Bend Food Bank jointly hosted a celebration at The John Deere Pavilion to celebrate the conclusion of a 2-month long fundraising campaign. The match campaign, titled “Plowing a New Path to End Hunger,” began in August 2023 with a pledge from The John Deere Foundation to match community donations raised by River Bend Food Bank up to $650,000. This investment, combined with matching community donations, would allow River Bend to purchase an additional 6.5 million meals, closing the meal gap in Scott, Rock Island, and Dubuque Counties.... Read More

Congressman Eric Sorensen (IL-17) joined River Bend Food Bank officials for a tour of their facility followed by a listening session focused on addressing hunger and improving nutrition. Quad-Cities’ River Bend Food Bank to Open a New Branch in Galesburg

The Davenport-based River Bend Food Bank and Galesburg Community Foundation are partnering to bring a new regional food bank branch to Galesburg. The branch will provide greater access to more nutritious and perishable foods for more than 50 food pantries in eight Illinois counties. It will supply food for not only the Community Foundation’s service area of Knox and Warren counties, but also Fulton, Hancock, Henderson, Henry, McDonough and Stark counties.
