Living Proof Starts New Creative Sessions, Hires Program Manager

Living Proof Exhibit – which provides hope, support, and healing through the arts to Quad Citizens touched by cancer – is growing with new programs and a new program manager. Each month, LPE offers free Creative Sessions where participants use various art forms to heal and find hope. Davenport Central Students Star in Online Production of “Clue”

It’s been a long process, but this Friday, theater students from Davenport Central High School will present a filmed version of Clue: High School Edition. The play will be shown for free on the Broadway on Demand streaming platform, at 7 p.m., Feb. 26. Clue: High School Edition is based on the 1985 Paramount mystery/comedy Clue, which in turn was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game of the same name. A Davenport barbershop will have a permanent health station installed that will provide access to health information, resources, and education, and be the site of health screenings and in-person provider education. The health station, part of the “Medicine in the Barbershop” partnership between UnityPoint Health – Trinity and 4 Sher Cut & Style, is partially funded through a grant from the University of Iowa College of Public Health, Business Leadership Network Community Grant program. The Rock Island Public Library Children’s Department will host a virtual show-and-tell about pets via  Zoom at 6:00 pm on Thursday, February 25.
