One of the giants of the Quad-Cities comedy scene over the past couple of decades is gone. George Schulz, a beloved anchor performer for Comedy Sportz and its various offshoot projects including GiT, passed away today. Schulz has been eulogized and mourned by hundreds of local comedy and theater performers and fans. The Western Illinois University Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration is accepting students into its updated Postbaccalaureate Certificate in Event Planning and Management program for Fall 2022. The program has been redesigned to meet the scheduling needs of busy practitioners and adult learners interested in expanding their knowledge of events.
