For the first time ever, the Davenport Community School District will have a sanctioned, girls’ wrestling team. MACOMB/MOLINE, IL – Western Illinois University Health Sciences graduate Kenia Reza recently conducted a study through the McDonough County Health Department and found a presence of West Nile virus in local mosquitoes as part of her program-based internship with the health department. “It was surreal to see my work contribute to helping a community better protect themselves from mosquito borne diseases,” said Reza. The Quad City Botanical Center is allowing guests to pay what they want for admission to the gardens August 7-13. By giving guests the chance to name their price of admission, we hope to allow every community member a chance to experience all the summer gardens have to offer. The public is welcome to visit Sunday 11AM-5PM and 10AM-5PM Monday through Saturday.
