As of June 21, Rock Island Public Library moved to a modified Phase 5 of our COVID operations plan. Here is what this means to our library patrons and staff at this time: Seating on our public floors returns, with no gathering or time limit restrictions. Please help by wiping down tables after you use them. Wipe stations available throughout our locations. All computers available for use, with pre-COVID time limits of 90 minutes for cardholders and 60 minutes for guest passes. Microfilm room open WiFi fully available, with no time limits. Rock Island Public Library locations and bookmobile routes will be closed Monday, May 31 for the Memorial Day holiday. During the holiday, digital content and research will still be available at www.rockislandlibrary.org, along with Beanstack summer reading registration. Star Wars fans can show their galaxy full of knowledge at the Rock Island Public Library’s “May the Fourth Be With You” online trivia game. The free event for all ages will be offered via Zoom from 5:30 to 6:30 pm on, you guessed it, Tuesday, May 4. Play solo or with a team and see how much you know about a certain galaxy far, far away. One lucky participant will win a Star Wars prize pack! New Rock Island Public Library Mobile Library Schedule Starts Monday, May 3

With warmer weather and plans for summer outreach in the works, the Rock Island Library2Go mobile bookmobile will roll out a new schedule starting Monday, May 3. The days and times for Mobile Library stops stay the same: Three stops daily, Monday through Thursday, but some locations have changed (see starred routes for changes.)
