The LeClaire Community Library will be recarpeted and painted in February 2024, with preparations underway now. This project will result in a unified color palette throughout the building, and better flow and flexibility in the library space. It was financed by the City of LeClaire, with assistance from the Friends of LeClaire Community Library. This project is also the recipient of a Hubbell-Waterman Foundation grant in the amount of $5000, to purchase new furniture for the Children’s Area. AARP Tax Aide volunteers bring free assistance to LeClaire Library

The AARP Tax Aide program’s trained volunteers are back in LeClaire this February and March to provide free tax assistance to anyone in the community regardless of age, income, or AARP membership. The volunteers can help with most tax returns including federal and Iowa/Illinois state taxes, though some restrictions do apply. Appointments will take place on Thursdays starting February 1 st and ending on April 4 th .
